Marc Weber is a Zurich-based attorney whose studies took him to the Universities of Zurich, Stanford, and Berkeley. 

His prize-winning dissertation on the inalienability of cultural property in national and international commerce (University of Zurich 2001) is considered an important contribution to art law in Europe. 

As an expert in art law, Marc counsels private collectors, auction houses, museums, foundations, banks and insurance companies.  He is also involved in international restitution cases on Nazi-looted art, among others, in the dispute on the Beethoven Frieze in Austria.

Besides his work as a lawyer Marc teaches art law at the Universities of Zurich and Vienna, and is a visiting professor at the International Hellenic University in Thessaloniki.

He has published more than 30 scientific articles on art law, international private law, law of succession and on civil procedure law.
